I think one of the main reasons new podcasts fail is that creators don't spend enough time promoting their shows. A lot of people focus only on making episodes, but they forget that listeners need to discover the podcast first. Without advertising or sharing content on social media, it's very difficult to attract an audience. Personally, I believe podcasting is an excellent way to build a community. Podcasts allow people with similar interests to connect, share ideas, and feel part of something larger. That's why podcasting has become so popular in recent years.
